What you book is the same either way: a personal consultation before the day, DJ coverage for the reception, full MC duties so somebody is actually running your timeline, a sound system sized to your room, wireless microphones for the speeches, and dance floor lighting. Almost everything here is either on the escarpment bench or on the lake, and a lot of it is a winery or an estate rather than a purpose-built hall. That means outdoor ceremonies with real wind off the water, marquees and barns instead of ballrooms, and venues with genuine noise curfews from neighbouring properties. We plan the end of the night around the curfew rather than finding out about it at 11pm.
